Kahono, Dandung B. (B. 1949)
Born in Magelang. Graduated from STSRI – ASRI Yogyakarta Majoring Painting in 1971. And continued his studies to Technology Institute of Bandung in Graphic Design Faculty (1972 – 1978). His artworks were collected by local and foreign collector. He participated in several group exhibitions both local and abroad. Group exhibition in Japan at Kochi, Hiroshima and Kobe (2001), Join exhibition with Indonesia – Japan Association at Agung Rai Gallery Bali (2002), with Korean Painters Association at Dharmawangsa Hotel (2004).

Kasta, I Ketut (B. 1945)
Born in Peliatan, Ubud. He paints in a traditional Ubud style, featuring the life in Bali. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Jakarta.

Kay, It (1938-1977)
The artist sought much inspiration from Balinese wood carvings and this influence can be seen in his designs in the terracotta mural and ceramic sculptures at the Bali Hyatt International Hotel and the Sanur Beach Hotel. Exhibitions of his works have been held throughout Indonesia and in Australia in 1966 and 1977. His works are in the collections of the Puri Lukisan Museum in Ubud, the Art Centre in Denpasar, and the Solander Gallery in Australia.

Kemp, P.H. Van Der (ca. 1919)
Dutch.
Painter and draughtsman, active in Medan, Sumatra, ca 1919. The artist, listed as ‘Dr.’, participated in an exhibition organized by the ‘Delische Kunstring’ in October 1919. No further reference.

Kerton, Sudjana (1922-1994)
He worked as journalist-artist for the newspaper Patriot, Yogyakarta, under Usmar Ismail from 1945-1949. He was one of the first Indonesian artists to win fellowship in Amsterdam and Paris and later received a scholarship to study at the Arts Students League, New York. In the late 70s, he returned to Indonesia and built a studio-gallery Sanggar Luhur, on Dago hill, overlooking Bandung. His work shows a deep concern for the common people in Indonesia.

Kim Bing, Kho (B. 1907)
A self-taught artist, he went to Jakarta to find a job in 1925. By 1929 he started to study at Academy of Fine Art in Belgium, where he was taught by the Dutch artist W. Paerels. He then worked in Paris for a year and held a few exhibitions there. In 1947 he went back to Malang. His works are very much influenced by the European impressionists.

Kirana, Djaja Tjandra (B. 1944)
His art works draw heavily for inspiration from the traditional images of Bali. He introduces ornamental objects and shapes in an honest and straight forward manner with unique characteristic, which make his works interesting in terms of the visual.

Knudslien, Roderick (B. 1954)
Born: Ryley, Alberta, Canada. Travelled and lived outside of Canada for several years before attending the University of Alberta to complete a B.F.A. Currently paints in Canada, and Indonesia.

Koto, Syahrizal (B. 1960)
He studied sculpture at ISI / Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta. He has had several solo and group exhibitions in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Magelang.

Kowapitaktak(Kova), Bencharong ( B. 1973)
He obtained his Bachelor of fine Art from Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts from Chulalongkom University Thailand and also Master of Fine Art from Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Fine Arts, Silpakom University. He has won several awards and honours since 1992, among which are 3rd Prize, Bronze Medal, 16th Bualuang Painting Contest by Bangkok Bank, winner at 2nd Panasonic Contemporary Painting Exhibition in 1996, Top Award Winner, Art Exhibition of Thailand Art Award 1997 by Philip Morris Group Companies, Special prize by Booneawd Brewery in 1998. He has participated in over 30 events in Thailand.

Krijono (B. 1951)
Born in an artist family. His mother is a Batik Factory owner and his father is a painting collector who later established the “ Harris” Art Gallery in 1971. He studied at the Indonesian Academy of Art (ASRI), Yogyakarta in 1970.

Kristiandana, Agapetus A. (B. 1968)
Born in August 6, 1968 at Yogyakarta. He Lives and works in Yogyakarta.

Kussudiardjo, Bagong (B. 1928)
Beside a painter, he is also well known as a choreographer. He obtained his formal education from Indonesia Art Academy (ASRI) Yogyakarta and he has had several exhibitions in many countries. He received awards from Indonesian & Bangladesh Government, ASEAN, and also from Pope Paul VI.
